About Purity After Pornography

Purity After Pornography is the interactive discipleship extension of Beggar’s Daughter.com. In other words, it is a blog and more.  It will feature encouragement, insight and even guests posts from leaders in the battle for true purity.

Purity After Pornography wants to be a real and personal ministry with those women who struggle with lust and those who love them.

My name is Jessica Harris.  Two years ago, I created Beggar’s Daughter.com, an online ministry resource for women in the church, who struggle with lust.  Women need to know they are not alone.  Beyond that, they need to know that they haven’t fallen beyond the grace of God.  I speak from personal experience after finding freedom from a six year struggle with pornography, masturbation and lust.  It is a real problem, but there is a real grace.

If you are a woman or know a woman who struggles with any of these issues, please feel free to ask questions! You can find more resources at beggarsdaughter.com.

    Hi Jessica,

My name is Rachael. I’m so thankful to have found your website. I’ve been dealing with lust issues for nearly 10 years. It’s only been the last couple of years that things have elevated. I started during the Bible study on “The Freedom Chapters” and it’s been really helpful. However, I’ve still been having a hard time not succumbing to temptation. I’ll be okay for a week, when for one day it’s all I think about. Do you have any advice on what I can do ward off temptation?

Thank you for starting this blog and website. It’s been such a blessing in my life.

      Rachael,

It is so important to make sure you are ‘renewing your mind.’ That’s an active process for us. For years, our life has included lust. Our minds have been programmed that way. While Calvary makes us free, there is still an active reconditioning that has to take place. It starts with learning to not think about not falling. If you walk around looking over your shoulder afraid of falling to lust, you are going to trip and fall on the ground in front of you. We have to keep our focus on Christ and press in to Him. Feel free to shoot me an e-mail if you want to chat more 🙂
